Google has made several key changes to its Google My Business application, and these have been rolled out to the iOS version.
The app now features an improved editor that comes with an intuitive interface and lets entrepreneurs edit their business information in a quick and simple way. For instance, if they want to view their business on Google Maps or edit their location, they can easily do so with just a couple of taps on the screen. With an updated hours editor and service area settings, the app can now cater to ventures that are open 24 hours a day and/or serve customers in locations other than their physical address (like mobile hairdressers or home spa therapists).
Another improvement with the app is that it sends instant alerts if users give the wrong business information (e.g. they use the incorrect phone number format). As a result, business owners are assured that they publish the right details on their Google My Business page and provide the info that their clients look for.
The improved Google My Business application, which is also available for Android users, has received many positive feedback. Barry Schwartz of Search Engine Roundtable noted that he “personally love[d] the new interface and app design”. Linda Buquet of Local Search Forum commented that, though she doesn’t use the mobile app, its new features looked like “a very impressive update”.
