It has been a while now since we have written about Bing Webmaster Tools. In a post written late last year, we discussed how a links report is now part of the system. Whilst silent for many months, it appears as though the people at this Microsoft search engine have been quite busy indeed. Now, we are going to see the result of all that user feedback and hard work.
Presenting, the new and improvedBing Webmaster Tools.
For a sampling of its fresh new features, refer to list below.
• Crawl delay is now made more sophisticated because you can now have Bing crawl your site slower on certain days.
• A complete rewrite of the former Index tracker.
• Expanded user and role management capabilities since account owners can now tailor the extent of other user’s access to the site with the use of a single verification code.
Of course, along with these new developments are handy sources of instruction. According to Duane Forster: “Beyond the updated and enhanced features, Bing Webmaster Tools is also launching detailed self-help guides and how-to documents. We’re covering a wide range of topics in this initial release, from how to accomplish tasks within Bing Webmaster tools, to what you should be focused on when performing search engine optimization.”
All of this certainly sounds exciting so if you want to see more in-depth information, view the entire post here http://www.bing.com/community/site_blogs/b/webmaster/archive/2011/06/08/updates-to-bing-webmaster-tools-data-and-content.aspx.
