What Google’s +1 means for the Future of SEO

The launch of the Google’s +1 feature has caused concern and intrigue within the search industry. Most SEO specialists are aware that increasingly social signals are driving search results, with Twitter mentions by ‘influential’ users now included as one of the many algorithm factors. While Bing has accepted the social media dominance of Facebook by reaching an agreement to include “Likes” in SERPs, Google have been continuingly looking to gain in this sector. Why You Should Try Out Google’s New “+1” Feature

Submit Video Information to Google Today

Like much of modern society, the websites of today have also gone on hyper drive. Technology’s perennial quest for something better and faster has had even its own offspring striving to keep up. Google Unveils Page Speed Extension for Chrome

In life, we are often taught not to make a big fuss out of trivial details. While patience might be a basic, I am finding it hard to apply as I wait for a web page that is taking forever to load. Virtue aside, I recently discovered that such a scenario should not be readily blamed on your online connection or that faulty Internet cable. As the web connoisseurs at Google explain, page speed can be another factor for a site’s turtle-like pace…

Google Categorises Ranking Penalties and Their Duration

Have you experienced being penalised by Google for violating their Quality Guidelines? If so then don’t be discouraged. Matt Cutts has released a new video clarifying some issues. This information has been around for some time but it is still something webmasters and site owners encounter without any idea on how/why they get penalised and when it will be removed…

Recently, I re-conducted a study with my fellow analyst to prove if self-social bookmarking can help Google ranking. Below are considered : a. No onsite work done, site update and link building done- this is to ensure that any ranking improvement is due to social bookmarking. b. Ranking data before any social bookmarking is gathered. [...]

A serious debate in SEO forums: Does high Page Rank and Website Traffic Correlate? Some websites experience high website traffic even with PR 0 or 1 homepage, whilst some homepages with a PR of 6 or 7 receive very little traffic.
