Google Presents Latest Pairing: Instant for Places View
These days, convenience seems to be a major persuasion in a variety of fields. Whether it is the latest gadget or a neighbourhood laundry shop, it is a highly effective factor for getting that potential customer to hand over that credit card or drop off that first batch of dirty clothing.
Observing the same principle, search engine extraordinaire Google recently announced that it has added a new feature to the standard Place Search. Defined as “a new kind of local search result that organizes the world’s information around places,” it presents a bunch of listings for a query that are centred around specific locations to make comparison easier. Now, imagine fusing that with technology that can predict “the most likely completion and streams results in real-time”. This exciting new combination is bound to make for smarter and faster outcomes. As I am quite fond of trying out new venues to wine and dine, the addition of Google Instant will certainly be helpful when I need a new fix for that taco craving.
