More than a month ago, I posted an article about the new requirements for Google Product Search. Amongst other things, it included the use of unique product identifiers to make your e-commerce website easier to find online.

Just last week, the search engine announced that Google Shopping a.k.a Google Product Search in the United States has gone global. The feature is now available in Australia, Italy, Spain, and the Netherlands. Now, avid web shoppers from these territories can use this particular service in the comfort of their own homes.

The broader range also means good news for site owners who have already submitted a feed to the Google Merchant Center need not create a new account. They simply need to “create a new feed for each country, and make sure it complies with our policies. Then, when registering your feed, choose the target country from the drop-down menu. If you’re a new merchant, we recommend reading the “Getting Started” articles in our Help Center.” , according to Google Shopping Product Manager Amy Gepfert.
