Smart Traffic SEO Tip #30 – Google’s New Look

Google’s just rolled out its new look on their search results. It’s actually a 3 column design containing menu of search options and tools to help searchers further refine their queries. See the screen shot below of Google’s new appearance in their search result:

The main change is the addition of a left column “Search Options Menu” or called “contextually relevant, left-hand navigation”. This new side panel highlights the most relevant search tools and refinements for your query. In addition to the left-hand side changes, they made minor changes also in the designs in terms of color and logo. Now it’s easier for searchers to drill-down further into their queries.
