How To Submit a Site to Bing News
Nowadays, there are numerous ways to gain prominence on the Internet. Enterprising individuals seek to expand their market reach by launching e-shops. Meanwhile, the opinionated few get their sentiments “heard” using a blog. These may be the more common techniques, but did you know that feeding information to the masses can be a key to Web stardom too?
You do not necessarily have to be a Journalism major or a prominent news outfit to supply stories and events that may have a general significance to people. Starting a news site can reap numerous benefits. In article posted on Yahoo’s Contributor Network, author Z. Perry says that such an endeavour allows you to “highlight issues or events in the news which you feel should receive more attention, can generate revenue in various ways, and gives you complete control over the news you create and/or link to.” But let us say that you have already got a news outlet and are now ready to expand you reach to a global scale. If so, then you should seriously consider submitting your site to a search engine’s news section.
Incidentally, a Yahoo affiliate is already offering such a service. For some time now, Bing has been providing interested users with a submission process but it is my understanding that this has been changed. It used to be that all one needed to do was send an email to bns@microsoft.com. Now that this no longer works, Microsoft’s Global Escalations team suggested a series of steps. In a nutshell, it involves submitting a Bing support ticket with specific information about your online resource. View the detailed instructions here:

So far, we have not found user feedback that would indicate a successful submission to Bing News. We will be providing you with an update when new information becomes available. In the meantime, try out Jian’s suggestion and see how far it will take you.
