Links Report, Now Available in Bing Webmaster Tools
Any website owner worth his salt should have Google Webmaster Tools set-up for their site. Less though will be using Bing Webmaster Tools to diagnose site problems. This could be a mistake as Bing is currently doing well, not only supplying Yahoo search results but also bringing in about 90 million standard users. Optimising for Bing also means another way to increase site traffic and earnings.
For those who are monitoring their links, Bing has added back its Link Reports feature. This is good news since it adds to your list of tools where you can check pages linking to yours. Search Engine Round Table has a good discussion about this report.
To check for your site’s links, log into your Bing webmaster tools account and go to “Index” portion and then to “Links” at the left navigation. You will then see a report like the one below:
Clicking on a URL will let you view the list of external linking pages of up to 20,000. You can also export the data easily. If you still don’t have a Bing Webmaster Tools account then now is the right time to set one up.
