New Bing Feature Makes Scoring Online Bargains a Breeze
In these trying economic times, most consumers are bent on getting the best deals for their purchases. Whilst online shopping has proven to be quite a convenient means of doing so, the results usually turn out to be more confusing than helpful. This, in part, is due to the fact that majority of buyers tend to type in search query terms that they would use in casual conversation. Fortunately, Bing has refined its Shopping feature by making improvements to the natural language search. With this recent innovation, the informal lingo so favoured by many can now be interpreted more accurately by Microsoft’s search engine.
And that isn’t even the best part.
In a Search Engine Land article by Pamela Parker, it was cited that the team behind Bing has also announced that their system is now equipped with the “ability to recognize price constraints”. This means that if you key in “purple satin pumps under $100”, you will get a listing of the specified type of footwear within the price range you desire. See the screenshot below.

As you can see, the manner in which the results are displayed is quite convenient. Not only does it show an image of the product, but is right on the dot in terms of the price being specified. This tool is perfect for those whose time (or patience) to browse is as limited as their budget. Even though the feature is only applicable for US-based searches (for now), it certainly reeks potential. Did I mention that this works for mobile searches too?
