Occasionally you are absolutely certain which terms, words or phrases to use to search Google to find the information you need. However, sometimes you have to try different search terms, words or phrases to accidentally come across a good result.
Here are some Google Tricks and Tools you can use to search when you actually don’t know what you are looking for:
1. Wildcard Search Operator (*) – tells Google to use a word (or a phrase) in place for it. Refer to the screenshot below.
It’s definitely helpful when you remember the phrase but just happened to forgot one word!
2. Synonym Search Operator (~) – prompts Google to use more synonyms and related searches which gives you more clues on the topic. Refer to the screenshot below.
