Does your site performs well on search engines? IF you are not sure, you can do some health check of your site in terms of SEO aspects. Below are easy to implement guide on how to go over the health check. 1. Are you not ranking well for your targeted keywords? If not, things that you need to improve includes the site overall SEO performance that includes adding quality content and getting some inbound links. 2. When did Google last visit your homepage? IF it is more than one week, be very concerned. It means Google looks your site as unimportant by visiting infrequently. You can consider adding more useful original content relating to your products and services in a frequent basis. Be very happy if Google visits the homepage frequently. You can check it on the cached date by clicking on the page rank toolbar and seeing the “cached snapshot of the page”. It will then show the date. 3. What is your bounce rate? If you have bounce rate above 50% (which is already high) you are not targeting correct customers or your content does not answer their query. In this case, you can get more quality customers by correctly targeting related keywords and getting links from related sites to get related traffic. It can also be done by improving the site current content. These three checklist are important to success in any online business. |
